WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY…

“Nice pub meal, friendly service. Went to the bistro for a meal. Service was friendly. Nice meal, chips especially were delicious! Nice atmosphere.

“Lovely food after Harry Potter World. Rather than spending a for processed food at Harry Potter World, we chose The Compass which was less than a mile away and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and none of the kids left a thing. I had the Beef Ragu special, with tagliatelle and garlic bread. Kids are not allowed in the bar area, but there is large covered area out the back which also showed the Live Premiership football.

“Modern village pub. It’s been decades since I’ve used this pub and I’m sure it’s had many makeovers and changes of landlords since then. The latest incarnation is modern without losing its pub ambience. This is very much a pub that serves food, rather than a restaurant that serves drinks. The main bar area is big with some seating and there are other seating areas. What I remember as a beer garden has been covered over, or at least a big part of it has been, but there still is some outside seating for hot weather. Service is friendly and efficient. There’s a good range of beers and lagers, including some craft beer and real ales.
