We are in the process of buying a newly built home.I'm just not sure what we should do for the bedroom sliding glass doors!A friend of mine suggested we could do curtains.I think we could also do plantation shutters (they did that on the sliders in our rental house) but honestly, we never open them because we have a chair in the way.I've attached a picture of the room.

We bought our house in May, but opted to remodel Master Bath as soon as we moved in.Consequently, we haven't "lived" in Master Bedroom yet.

As the bathroom is nearing completion we started moving furniture into the Master.I love all the light we get from the sliding doors, but we live in TX so the room is really hot.

We ended up putting the original curtains (hello 1980s) that came with the house just for the interim.The door is 96" wide and currently the curtain rod is 90" off the ground.

The existing curtains are close to 12 feet wide, but I'm thinking we should go for curtains closer to the width if the door to make that wall seem bigger.
