Summer Dining Room in Blue + White

This week we sharing some spaces in our homes decorated for summer.Since my dining room has had it’s time on the blog previously {like HERE and HERE} this isn’t a room reveal post, but I decided recently the room needed a little freshening up with blue and white, just like well, pretty much the rest of my house.

Blue and White Easter Table

To break up the blue and white a little, I added a salad plate from my Waterford Padova Collection china.I love stretching a garland of sorts (usually created and dubbed ‘garland’ by myself) down the table and nestling accents within the garland.I purchased this white tablecloth to fit the measurements of my table when my leaf extensions are in.As much as I love creating new table looks, I despise that part of the process so I usually look for shortcuts.My grandmother had the most gorgeous collection of blue and white pieces in general.

Spring Dining Room in Blue and White

It’s a huge store and I found a special treasure which became my inspiration for creating a spring dining room in blue in white.This blue and white damask style fabric caught my eye where all the textiles were hanging.Blue and white looks so fresh and gives my farmhouse dining room a cottage vibe.My blue and white mismatched dishes go perfectly with my $3 thrift store tablecloth.It might be cold outside, but inside I can enjoy my spring dining room in blue and white.

I started collecting blue and white ceramics a few years ago after I got a few pieces from my grandmother that were her mother’s dishes.I love mixing the rustic farmhouse look with my traditional decor pieces!
