We wish to have island as large as possible, ideally 7 foot wide as shown.my I hate the corner pantry but it seems best use of space from what I can assess.I would love a small walk in butlers pantry with enough room for cabinet to hold toaster oven etc.

the only way i see doing this is backing into mudroom but not sure how to rework that for best use of space.

Other concern if tight walkway between island and fridge, if we keep corner pantry should we go smaller pantry size?

I’m kind of embarrassed to admit this but we were using a stand up clothes armoire as a simple DIY pantry in our kitchen because we didn’t have enough space to hold all our food stuffs.Roy used the free software Google Sketchup to draw up the plans to fit our space.

Roy LOVES messing around Google SketchUp and he designed the new pantry.

The outlet was on the wall which would now be “inside’ the pantry so Roy had to move it.

Roy added some shelving on the side so we could get rid of a bakers rack that held a variety of appliances.

Hello,We're really digging into the planning stages of our kitchen renovation and I'm looking for some feedback on our plans.I'm not entirely sold on the cabinet/rollout shelves in our island.Especially seeing how our pantry will be rollouts and I don't own a standing mixer so no need for one of those cabinet lifts.

It looks like the eat in/dining area will be about 11' x 16' not including hutch/pantry and walkways.We generate a lot of recycling- is a 21" garbage pullout large enough for both garbage and recycling?

Hi, I am somewhat new to dynamic blocks and other advanced options in AutoCAD and I had a question.The variables are portrait, landscape, width, height and angle.

Dynamic blocks are an option but seem complicated and excessive.

When you execute the rectangle command and choose the starting location of the rectangle you are given the option of typing the rectangles dimensions length and width.How would you create your own custom rectangle command that included width, length, angle and created your rectangle based on those inputs.

I am thinking of moving the pantry to the corner and making the reach in pantry into counter space with lower and upper cabinets.Also planning to forego upper cabinets near the sink and put in additional windows.
