You can file this under the first thing I would not to again: a turquoise door with a yellow wall.Here is what the laundry nook looked like before we made it over.I am still going to put it on the "wouldn't repeat" list, and here is why: it's simply not that sturdy.

I thought I would start off the new year with a bang and dive right into some remodeling.The bulk of time and remodeling budget this year will go into the master suite make-over.Pay close attention to those magnificent cabinets above the laundry area.We used pressure treated wood to go against the concrete and anchored it into the garage floor.

Simple Garage Laundry Room Makeover, Part 3

I’ve been having a great time decluttering, organizing and making over my laundry area in our little one-car garage.In this phase, I “wallpapered” the wall behind my washer and dryer with self-adhesive contact paper.

The contact paper has a grid on the back (which I didn’t notice until partway through the project) that makes cutting in a straight line much easier.

A major upside: The contact paper adhered really well to the paneling.I feel like a laundry space should feel clean and fresh, and even though that can be hard to accomplish in a garage, I think this new look is a vast improvement from the dark laundry cave I had previously.
