We just finished installing these Pella multi-slide patio doors at this Geist Lake pool house.The doors slide over each other for a completely open-air room when the weather is nice.

The doors are designed with high-efficiency glass panels so the space can be comfortable year-round.The homeowner wanted to bring a California style coastal look to their Fishers home!

The Whole Wall Is A Sliding Glass Door That Opens The Living Room

Architecture and interior design firm Assembledge+ has completed the remodel of a mid-century house in California, and as part of the update, they included an oversized sliding glass door.The black-framed glass wall opens up the living room and connects it to the patio that surrounds the swimming pool.The wall-to-wall full-height sliding glass door has tinted glass, and when opened, it’s held in place by an external frame that’s been built into the architecture of the home.From the living room, the view of the swimming pool is uninterrupted as you can see that the entire wall disappears from view.

Using Windows and Doors to Blend Indoor and Outdoor Living Spaces

I knew from the beginning that a lot of large windows would be a key factor in the design.Throughout the house we made sure to include large windows everywhere we could.In the great room, which is two stories high, we were able to accommodate three sets of French doors, plus large windows above each in order to get the maximum amount of natural light possible.I thought about mimicking the French doors in the great room, and I considered sliding glass doors, but somehow neither one felt quite right in the space.

When closed they look like floor-to-ceiling windows, but when open, they completely retract, leaving a wide, open space.

The season of unending pool parties might have drawn to a close, but fun evening gatherings and great parties can go on all year long with a pool house like this one in Haslemere, Surrey, England.Nestled on a lush green and secluded lot that offers ample privacy, this sparkling pool house was designed by Re-Format along with an additional greenhouse, and this houses an indoor pool, spa, gym and even a bicycle workshop.

Sitting next to the servant spaces, it is a copper pitched roof along with a series of sliding glass walls that give the gorgeous pool house its unique look.

There is absolutely no lack of space inside the expansive structure, and the refreshing pool reflects the sky that is brought in by the glass opening in the ceiling.Despite its low-slung design, the pool house visually complements the existing residence perfectly and gives it a ravishing and refreshing new twist!
