Two floors in kitchen & drop down / built in dining table from islandHi, we are renovating our kitchen and have a design dilemma with the flooring and expansion of the kitchen island.We redid the floors for hte hardwood when we first moved in (the dark ebony in the pics)2.

The dilemma is that if we were to change the layout and expand the island, it would cross over into the hard wood floors.

Some have told us that the dining table extension from the island (see example pics) could be slightly different so that it matches the hardwood and the tile.

Another option is to keep the table but no table would fit if we were to turn it the other way to face the view.
