If you have been following along for a while now, you know that I have been giving our master bedroom a bit of a makeover.We also needed a larger dresser for all our clothes.Our master closet, while it is a walk in, isn’t that huge, so a bigger dresser was a necessity.

I also added a matching gallery wall near the entrance to our bedroom.

Since we got a larger dresser, we didn’t need that one anymore.

When I set the TV on the dresser it was way too crowded, with the cable box, Apple TV, and other items I needed a way to maximize the surface space.It was too high to mount the TV, and even if I did I needed a way to cover up the cable box.

The TV was bigger and we had more boxes so the middle piece was necessary to keep the support.

We did have to off center the middle piece though to fit our boxes.I painted it to match the the dresser we made into our TV stand for now until we tackle this room with new floors and built ins.

We just got a new and bigger TV for the bedroom.We found a new home for the old TV (more on that soon) and simultaneously found an excuse to buy a new TV.

Making the Wood Dresser TopI really wanted the top to be different colors of wood and to look rustic and a little old.

So I measured the top of my dresser and figured out how many paint sticks I would need to cover the top.Then I used the nail gun to nail the paint sticks to the top of the media center.
