I wanted to create a space that was still playful, but also a little bit more grown up than some of their past bedrooms. The very first thing we did after buying the house was to paint all the walls and ceilings with Benjamin Moore “Chantilly Lace”.
The buffalo check rug is from the basement of our last house, but it actually feels perfect in here!
The bedding is new and it’s the geometric duvet cover from Tealp paired with grey Target quilts.
The gallery wall is made up of photos, faux taxidermy, art, an even my favorite lumberjack toy that my grandpa carved! In the corner I’ve got then Chanel Armchair that used to live in our dining room.
The leather pouf was a super deal on Amazon, although it came unstuffed so I had to find scraps and old pillows to fill it with. Just to keep things honest, I’ll share a shot of their completely overstuffed lego shelves.
I wish these were stained and beautifully staged, but this is real life and we have a TON of lego creations.
I think I really accomplished my goal of creating a space that they love, because when they get home from school this is usually straight where they head to flop onto their beds and start reading.
**I am SO grateful to Blindster.com, The Hairpin Leg Co. and Tealp for providing items for this room.
