Patriotic Decor in the Dining Room

Since we are staying close to home for the holiday weekend, I decided to add some patriotic decor to my dining room! After all, I haven’t added any red, or white in there since we painted the room navy last year. Instead of purchasing new items for the room, I just shopped my house and came up with this table setting. Since I am always looking for reasons to pull out my Blue Willow china, I began with those dishes as my starting point. Since I didn’t have time to run out for flowers, I simply used a brass hurricane for the centerpiece. As you can see, my china cabinet is filled with more Blue Willow (and apparently a reflection of my arm!)

Although my dining room faces north, I went against all the advice about painting it navy. Luckily, I had just purchased a bag of cherries so I filled the bowls with them to add more red.
