Since my newly painted pink piano sits in our family room, I wanted to try something new this year when putting up the tree that would not only coordinate well with this bright hue but also get out of my comfort zone a bit. I’ve always had a simple real tree with traditional reds and white with my kids’ ornaments that I still absolutely adore but it would clash in here now. That tree will stay in our family room, where it’s been for the past 8 years since we bought our childhood home. Not only did it soften the space but the flocked branches add instant cozy with how full and wintery they are. From the little hand painted tree village that sits on top of my piano that add instant festive cheer to the cheery green garlands all over the space, I am in love!
